Sofia Tribal's foundation is based on community. A community of women from all walks of life coming together in the sisterhood of dance. Regardless of age, shape or size, this dance is for everyone. Sofia was formed in 2009 by a group of women that met through this dance. Our passion is to share our love for the dance in hopes that others will love it as much as we do.
Sofia Tribal is a performance troupe and FatChanceBellyDance "Sister Studio", the only certified American Tribal Style (ATS) Belly Dance troupe in our region. Carolena Nericcio is the founder of ATS Belly Dance, our mentor, and master teacher. We have trained extensively with Carolena and are certified in ATS general skills and to teach ATS. Sofia Tribal instructors are the only certified ATS instructors in our area.
Sofia Tribal performs throughout the Chippewa Valley and is providing tasteful, family-friendly entertainment for festivals and women's, family or professional events.
